IT Consultant (IT Infrastructure)

6 Month Contract

Witney Oxfordshire

IT Consultant - This is a senior level role, working with the Head of IT on my clients' future strategy which will support the major digital transformation. We're looking for people who have worked in strategic / Consultant or Senior level roles, you will be responsible for reviewing existing infrastructure to determine if it fit for purpose and can cope with the development and company growth.

Candidates must have international multi-site location experience.

My client are embarking on an ambitious and exciting development programme that will enable it to become a truly digital enabled business. We are therefore seeking a highly skilled individual to undertake a thorough review of the current capability and plans and to prepare a blueprint for the future to ensure that our infrastructure delivers the necessary resilience, performance, security and capacity.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Disaster Recovery
  • Software Maintenance/Improvement
  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent in an IT related discipline e.g. BSc Computer Science, MSCE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer)
  • Experience of maintaining a Windows domain environment in excess of 750 users (e.g. heavily using Active Directory OUs, distribution groups, Group Policy)
  • Experience of working in a multi-location, multi-national IT environment
  • Demonstrate a high level of leadership
  • Excellent communication, engagement and stakeholder management skills to build trusted relationships with internal management
  • Very Strong IT infrastructure knowledge with particular focus on the technologies listed above
  • Experience of operating at a senior level within IT
  • A thorough understanding of networking (Cisco), IT infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and VoIP telephony
  • A high degree of commercial awareness
  • Strong and confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and experience of managing a team
  • Experience of a multi-location, international operation
  • Experience of managing IT change and implementing strategy
  • Extremely organised and able to work towards deadlines
  • Possesses a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills
  • A self-starter with a 'technical hands-on' approach
