IP Architect - I am currently recruiting for an IP Architect with experience working on Telecoms and/or large scale Cloud transformation programmes. This is a critical role in helping produce and end to end IP strategy and architecture for the transformation programme. Working within the Transport Team - who are responsible for delivering Strategy and High Level Architecture, you will provide governance to all 3rd party architecture, ensuring each design adheres to the define architectures and principles.

Responsibilities:

• Govern each transport design
• Govern the migration against the migration strategy
• Update the migration strategy
• Provide gap analysis go-live solution
• Assist and input into the definition of the Strategy for IP (incl. analysis, SWOT, proof of concept, business case, etc.)
• Engage with key stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, analyse and translate into technical requirements

Skills & Experience Required:

• Hold relevant IP Network Certification (ie CCIE)
• Must have an excellent understanding of IP within a service provider or IT enterprise environment (including services such as DNS, DC switching etc)
• Up-to-date knowledge of future technologies, equipment and their benefits
• IP Architect / Consultant level
• Experience managing the governance of designs by 3rd parties / architectural governance
• Experience managing suppliers/vendors and stakeholders
• Appreciation for the wider impacts of solutions (ie costs, customer impact, timescales etc)
• Recent knowledge and experience of mobile networks
• Cloud transport / cloud networks solution experience
• Strategic and architectural knowledge of networking technologies including - Vendor management, datacentre networking, IP Networking, Networking services (DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Load balancing, NAT); Software Defined Networking; Network Functions Virtualisation and IT Virtualisation
