Job Description

A leading travel organisation are currently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Systems Administrator to join their team.

Working within the Infrastructure Team, you will be supporting the Infrastructure Manager and Infrastructure team with a variety of IT infrastructure projects, monitoring and troubleshooting hardware and software, maintaining existing systems and providing second/third line IT support.

In addition to the above, additional duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Supporting the migration from On-Prem/ VMware to Azure
  • SAN Management and Storage Configuration
  • Virtualisation - VMware and Azure configuration/support
  • Testing of hardware and software updates
  • Creation of plans for hardware installations and maintenance
  • Server hardware support, maintenance and upgrades
  • Maintenance and upgrade of Anti-Virus systems
  • Network security and firewall management
  • Network configuration, maintenance and setup
  • Other tasks and projects as defined by the Infrastructure Manager or the business.

We're looking for a good all-rounder who has performed the following:

  • Microsoft Azure Administration including Azure AD/Azure Active Directory Connect
  • Microsoft Windows Server to 2019 Administration and build
  • Microsoft Active Directory and Domain Infrastructure
  • Microsoft Group Policy configuration
  • VMware vSphere 6.x & 5.x administration
  • Firewall configuration/security principles (Meraki knowledge desirable)
  • Core networking skills (Cisco)
  • Office 365 including Microsoft Teams Administration

Any exposure to the following would be great:

  • Citrix - Xen Desktop
  • Storage/SAN management/ISCSI configuration/Storage Networking
  • Cisco CCNA
  • Wireless Networking experience (preferably Meraki)
  • VPNS, DNS, DHCP, MPLS and other network services
  • Sophos AV
  • SharePoint
  • Lansweeper
  • Backup and disaster recovery principles and best practices
