Infrastructure Architect - Wintel, VMWare, Azure IaaS & PaaS

Work for a leader within the tailor made travel industry that has state of the art office in Shepherds Bush in a convenient location to the train line and tube.

The role will also requires flexibility to travel to Witney in Oxford when required.

The role is required as a key member of the Tech Platform Transformation team to define and architect how the End User Computing services are configured, operate and interact throughout the Company.

What will the role be doing:

The role is required as a key member of the Tech Platform Transformation team to define and architect how Infrastructure services are configured, operate and interact throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect a compelling and competitive infrastructure cloud solution which demonstrates significant and quantifiable value.
• Bring operational experience to ensure all solutions are fit for purpose and scalable to meet the Bigger Picture.
• Audit and review the existing and future cloud services and deliver the "Tech Platforms Cloud Strategy" business case for GEB approval in March 19.
• The business case will define the strategy and roadmap on how the company will progress from its current mixed on-premise and cloud estate to a "cloud-only" solution from 2021 and beyond.

Experience Required:

• Good experience in designing and implementing enterprise IT Infrastructure components.
• A sound understanding of technical IT issues to enable effective discussions with technical specialists and business stakeholders.
• Primary expertise in Wintel, VMWare, Azure IaaS and PaaS.
• Extensive experience implementing and upgrading Compute platforms (Windows, AD).
• Experience in migrating workloads from on-premises to Azure including IaaS and PaaS services.
