Incident Co-ordinator

Location: Bracknell

Salary/Rate: £12 per hour

The Incident co-ordinator works within the Incident and Alerts team. The team work to an ITIL framework and require a suitably skilled Incident manager. The role is office based in Bracknell and requires cover from 0700-1900 hrs Monday to Friday split over 2 shifts:

0700-1500 Hrs

1100-1900 Hrs

This will be rotated on a weekly basis

Job Purpose and Accountabilities

The Incident manager is responsible for assessing business impact and taking ownership of Major Incidents, ensuring appropriate resource is engaged to restore service. The role includes all communication within the business and to the customer, including Post Incident Reports. ITIL framework based. : Asses business impact of all Major Incident, retain ownership and co-ordinate all resources required to resolve the issue throughout the lifecycle of the Incident. The Service Escalation Manager is also responsible for escalation throughout the business and to the customer.

Candidate would desirably possess SC clearance however it is not a mandatory requirement for this position. SC clearance would need to be granted before starting this position.

Skills - Mandatory.

  • Must be security cleared or able to gain Security Clearance
  • Self Starter, Good Communicator (capable of briefing complex technical failures to all levels of the organisation and into the customer representatives),
  • ITIL Management Foundation Courses,
  • Able to demonstrate customer service Skills. Able to work under time pressures.
  • Able to work under limited supervision to achieve specific goals.

Skills - Useful

  • Experience on working on a Help Desk. Understanding of ATLAS service operations. Understanding of MoD
