Head of Health and Safety and Quality Management - Berkshire - Flexible working

Project people are looking for a highly experienced Head of Health and Safety and Quality Management to join a well-known high profile telecommunications client based in Berkshire.

This is an amazing high level opportunity that offers the ability to work from home and only being in the office when necessary. This means you don't have to be based in Berkshire, but will be willing to commute into the office occasionally.

Ideal candidate that will fit this role best, will come from either civil or construction background.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Health and Safety to ensure compliance with UK regulatory and statutory standards and achieve agreed business outcomes
• Work on improving the processes systems and strategies required to manage the H&S
• Establish and improve strategies, processes, systems and capabilities
• Manage resources appropriately, hire the right people, drive and motive the team
• Work with the board and shareholder to ensure Health and Safety and Quality are integral and proactively managed throughout all the phrases of the project and operations life cycle
• Manage all of H&S and Quality Management interdependencies, risks and issues
• Forecast, authorise and manage the multi million pound CAPEX and OPEX spend
• Act as business owner for the tendering, renegotiation, selection and transition of Health and Safety and Quality Management related suppliers and partners
• In- depth Investigation odd accident and incident, working with industry regulations, implement improvement plans to address root cause and prevent re-occurrence
