We are hiring!

A Full Stack Java Web Developer is required to support and develop an in-house application within Project People, a specialist information technology and telecommunications recruitment company. Project People has evolved into a leading provider of global recruitment managed service programmes

Working within a small in house team based in Bristol city centre, the Full Stack Java Web Developer will be responsible for improving functionality, implementing new features to web portals and day to day bug fixing. Once established within the role, there will be the opportunity to manage projects.

The Full Stack Java Web Developer will tasked with implementing and contributing to a vision of a more user-focused web portals, through technical excellence and understanding the user's needs.

We require an inquisitive and independent developer who will communicate well with our users, stakeholders and other developers. The team works in an agile way in how they tackle the challenges of modern web development.

Technical skills required: HTML5 - CSS - JavaScript - JQuery - MySQL, SQL Server, or similar - Experience of using PHP, Java, C# or similar for back-end web development - Experience of using version control software (eg Git, SVN, etc) - Strong communication skills Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.

Nice to have: - Experience of using a back-end framework (eg Struts, Spring, Zend, CakePHP, Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter) - Experience of using an ORM framework (eg Hibernate, Doctrine, etc) Basic understanding of UX (User Experience) and interface design

Alternatively, we would be keen to hear from Full Stack Developers who don't have all the skills required, however they are keen to develop their career further.
