Job Description

Project People are supporting a mixed 11-18 secondary academy based in Hertfordshire. They are seeking to appoint an experienced Food Technology Teacher able to teach upto KS5 from September 2019 on a permanent basis.

Salary range: MPS - UPS

The successful person will be an experienced classroom practitioner with a passion for teaching Food Technology and must be able to teach up to KS5. You will have a proven track record in raising achievement and making a positive impact with students outcomes. You must have a positive and can do attitude with fellow colleagues and students alike, coupled with the belief that every student has the right to fulfil their potential.

In 2017, the school moved into a new school building. This contains world-class new facilities including a suite of high spec Science laboratories, top range ICT provision and a host of amazing sporting facilities, including a new 4th Generation Astro Turf.

The school is popular destination for children to attend within the local community. Staff emphasis on pastoral care and have very close links with parents.

High behaviour expectations are set, with a zero tolerance approach to disruption of any kind to learning. Each student is known and valued as an individual and has absolute support in achieving his or her potential.

Students are actively encouraged to join the Student Leadership Academy with responsibilities including Digital Leaders, Community & Charity Leaders, House Leaders, Sports Leaders and Learning Leaders. Each leadership group has an active involvement in writing and delivering the Student School Development Plan each year.
