Project People are current looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a really successful business in central Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment with an additional bonus of being in the office only 3 days a week!

Key responsibilities:

• Ensuring internal processes are compliant with financial rules and regulations
• Being responsible for the financial operations including fixed assets, supplier payments, payables, receivables, VAT and Corporate Tax
• Working with the Finance Manager to produce monthly and year end accounting and reporting activities ensuring adequacy ion financial controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with HRMS VAT, producing monthly accounts analysis, liaising with shareholders
• Providing support to the Financial Account Manager with tasks such as

Key requirements/ experience of:

• MUST be ACA qualified, alternatively open to ACCA
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience working in an Accountancy Practise, however in house applicants considered
• Self- starter with an ability to adapt quickly to changing environments
• Experience of financial controls processes and systems, VAT & Corporate Tax, dealing with end to end accounting process
• Strong background of making conclusions from large quantities of data from various sources
