Fibre Audit Engineers. Various locations. 6 Month contract role.
Fibre Audit Engineers required to work on a contract basis supporting the removal of redundant or over length fibres, re-labelling fibre, and ensuring all fibre identified on site is documented and reported to offshore colleagues to enable the update and alignment of fibre inventory systems. Once the site have been through the audit process you will then be installing new standardised equipment. The sites will go through 3 phases (visual check, remove unused fibres, remove and replace excess length fibres).
The successful engineers will have an understanding of telecoms transmission, previously worked on fibre optic cables, have understanding of typical circuit labelling, good eyesight and attention to detail, ability to work with and under supervision, good communication, OTDR, live fibre tester, fibre microsoft.
The successful engineers must have completed a IOSH health and Safety course. and will either have current SC Clearance or be willing to undertake Security clearance.
