Fibre Audit Engineer

Fibre Audit Engineer. Bristol . Contract.

Audit and consolidation of existing fibre estate removing any redundant or over length fibres, re-labelling fibre, and ensuring all fibre identified on site is documented and reported to offshore colleagues to enable the update and alignment of fibre inventory systems. Once the site has been audit process then will be installing new standardised equipment to future proof requirements.

The successful Fibre Audit Engineer will have experience of working within a telecoms company (Vodafone, BT etc) and experience of working with internal fibre rather than external. Understanding of telecoms transmission having previously worked on fibre optic cables. Able to work with supervision of others and excellent communication. Must have IOSH health and Safety certification. will have basic knowledge of fibre test principle and equipment (OTDR, live fibre tester, fibre microscope)
