Job Description

Facilities Manager NEBOSH. Reading, 6Months contract.

Exciting opportunity has arisen to oversee local EHS day to day practices within the UK office portfolio for a leading telecommunications company. You will understand health, safety and environment problem sand clearly communicate solutions to a broad stakeholder base including senior management. You will be helping people to change their methods and beliefs surrounding Environment Health and Safety issues through educating them and motivating them to continue to change behaviour.

The suitable candidate will be NEBOSH certified, previously worked within Facilities management role.

KEY TASKS OF THE POST

  • Undertaking office /facility risk assessments and carrying out appropriate actions as required.
  • HS&E Policies and Procedures - promote good health, safety and environmental practices throughout all activities.
  • Ensure that each local office's policy statements/fire plans and fire risk assessments are in place, identify and manage improvements
  • Monitor effective risk assessment/management strategies and make recommendations on the implementation/improvement of these strategies
  • Review and develop local office adherence to health and safety procedures and provide guidance, in keeping with best practice, make recommendations on their implementation and application
