Environments Build Engineer (DV Cleared)

Job title: Environments Build Engineer

Location: Reading

Employment type: Contract

The jobholder will be required to maintain the various environments and provide in-house support and technical specialism to the various teams who require access to the environments.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Hardware installation
• Software installation
• Document Authoring
• Hardware and Software Integration
• Unit and Integration Testing
• Problem Investigation and Resolution
• Development of scripts

Skills Required - Mandatory:

• DV clearance
• Integration of Microsoft based enterprise solutions
• Windows 2003/2008R2 server components (AD, Group Policies, DNS)
• Windows XP/Windows 7 and standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office
• Microsoft Windows Server
• VSphere 5
• XML;
• Scripting preferably Powershell
• Team player, good communication skills, an ability and desire to acquire and share knowledge

Desirable Skills Required:

• Windows 2012 server / Windows 8.1
  * Experience of MOD/Secure Systems
  * Radia or another Software Distribution system
  * Lumension
  * Borland StarTeam
