Deskside Support Engineer (MS Windows 2007/2010 / MS Office 2010/2013) - 1st/2nd Line Support - Contract - Windsor, Berkshire
A global IT services company is searching for a Deskside Support Engineer with strong Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office support skills to join their team on a contract basis in Windsor. The role will involve working for a large utilities customer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for taking end-to-end ownership of incidents and service requests and for providing dedicated instant IT support to users within tight SLAs, with occasional requirement to provide support at other customer locations.
Delivering a professional and dedicated "walk-up" Deskside support service to around 50 users although this number could change.
Daily tasks include logging of all issues raised using ''ServiceNow'' call management system, resolving incidents where possible or passing to 2nd line or relevant support teams, whilst still managing ownership of calls through to completion.
Incident management - ensuring that all incidents are resolved within SLA timescales.
Raising customer specific service / change requests, managing through to completion.
Attending project meetings and work groups as and when requested.
Shift rota spilt between hours of 7am - 6pm.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and an natural customer care / professional attitude are absolutely essential.
Technical understanding of PC hardware/software.
Windows 7 & 10 support.
Microsoft Office 2010 / 2013.
Previous Trade Floor / Commodities service experience.
Basic LAN/WAN knowledge.
AD Account management.
Understanding of SLA's.
ITIL Foundation (Understanding of ITIL practices and framework).
Home working and VPN.
