Job Description

Project People are supporting a small independent SEN school based in Greater Manchester, with a full capacity of 35 children.

They are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher on a permanent basis from September 2019. The successful person will lead on Teaching and Learning, as well as support the Headteacher with managing the school.

The school caters for children aged 7 to 18 years, with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, as well as ASD or ADHD. As a school they have a range of subject specific areas including a fully equipped teaching kitchen, ICT department, primary school area and community areas for recreational activities.

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE

  • You will be a specialist with working with children with various special needs
  • You will be able to provide support to pupils with SEMH difficulties
  • Maintain links with families and the local community
  • Set and have high expectations and aspirations to enable pupils to reach their full potential
  • Provide personalised programmes of learning
