Delivery & Governance Lead

6-12 Month Contract

Reading, Berkshire

Delivery & Governance Lead - you will join my client, a leading Mobile Telecoms company at their HQ in Reading on a 6-12 month contract basis. Your role will be to define and implement processes to be used across the PMO, so from writing processes, writing business requirements, gaining buy-in and through to implementation.

We are looking for someone who proven experience in process improvement and implemented governance.

As Delivery & Governance Lead you will be responsible for owning and continuously improving the PMO delivery governance, you will work with key stakeholders to understand the current processes then measure and analyse delivery performance to identify improvement areas and best practice. You will champion best practice, promoting effective and efficient delivery, keeping all stakeholders engaged and supportive of the new methodology.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Lead on programme quality reviews to ensure adherence to processes and procedures
  • Provide coaching and training to the programme delivery teams, encouraging adoption and adherence
  • Keeping up to date on new practices / industry standards / best practice and applying to the PMO

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Must have excellent knowledge and experience of identifying best practice programme and project management methodologies and governance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to define detailed end to end processes and knowledge of process definition methodology
  • Experience of driving through change to processes and ways of working
  • Experience in development and delivery of basic training packages
  • Ability to overcome and manage resistance to change
  • Strong attention to detail, planning and organisational skills
