The Company:

A leading Telecoms vendor, who operate in more than 170 countries across the world. They are currently looking for a Data Centre qualify Manager, responsible for implementing and managing qualify on major data centre build.

As Data Centre qualify manager, you will reporting to the project director and QEHS department head, this role works with the customer, sub-contractors to meet key targets and drive continuous improvement to ensure successful delivery of a major construction/mechanical and electrical build for a global leading technology client

Responsibility:

• Ensuring contractual and project quality requirements are understood and met.
• Documenting quality requirements, implementation and reporting in the quality plan and agree as necessary with the customer and sub-contractors.
• Communicating, implementing and promoting the quality plan.
• Performing audits to validate and confirm sub-contractors QC/QA activities
• QC Interface and management of contractors quality requirements and deliverables
• Reporting on project quality performance and ensure all key issues are addressed with agreed solutions and closure
• Supporting design verification process and start-up and commissioning quality issues
• Perform incremental checks to validate and confirm sub-contractors installations
• Undertaking continual improvement activities and lessons learnt to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the programme.
• Through routine meetings, strengthen interactions with the customer and sub-contractors in respect of quality performance.
• OPR (Operational Project Review) process outcomes
• Create a Project Quality culture - Right First Time in everything we do, so that there is personal commitment from all team members

Requirement:

• Experience of managing quality on the construction and fit-out of a new build Data Centre with an expected finish to CAT A standards
• Professional/academic qualification associated with scope of project delivery: Construction, Electrical/mechanical Engineering
• Specific experience of working with Mechanical & Electrical installation and testing on a Data Centre build
• Management experience (training/qualification preferred) in ISO 9001Widespread experience (training/qualification preferred) in utilizing various quality tools such as process mapping, RCA, Six Sigma, risk assessment and risk management

Qualification and experience:

• HNC or degree level in building or electrical/mechanical engineering
• Effective implementation of Quality Assurance/Control and Safety Management systems
• Awareness of Health & Safety legislation and associated regulation
• Experience in TL9000 procedures
