Data Centre Facility Project Manager

The company:

My client is a leading Telecoms company, who operate in more than 170 countries across the world. They are current looking for a Data centre Facility Project Manager, to work on a contract basis located at their HQ in Berkshire.

As DC Facility Project Manager, you will be working within their fantastic and multi-cultural environment, to overlook and advise on the project progress during delivery state.

Reading (11 month contract)


  • Responsible for whole programme delivery on time.
  • Responsible for overall managing customer and sub-contractors.
  • Prevention of Gold platting / Scope creeping.
  • Prevention of Gold platting / Scope creeping.
  • Advice necessary regulation and compliance requirement as a DC General Contractor.


  • Local UK Data Center professional with more than 10 years of Facility Consultant, project management and/or delivery experience
  • Ability to work within a matrixed partnership environment, ability to manage and motivate individuals outside of direct reporting lines as well as strong teaming and networking skills
  • Knowledge of Data Center facility systems including Power, A/C, ELV and Security.
  • Prince2, PMP, Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Architecture, Facilities Management or Data Center related field.
  • 3 days work in Reading, 1 day in Slough, 1 day in London.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and problem solving.
  • Strong ability to abstract and interpret DC facilities language.
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of an organization and management and ability to build external networks.
