The company:

My client is a leading Telecoms company, who operate in more than 170 countries across the world. They are current looking for a Data centre Facility Site Manager on a contract to work out of their fantastic head office in Berkshire.

This is good opportunity for someone who would like to work within multi-cultural environment, and can successfully deliver the DC project.

Reading (Contract)

Responsibilities:

• As a Data Center Facility Site Manager, be onsite and manage/control the project progress during Implementation stage.
• Act as a site owner to liaison with subcontractors and customer, making sure smooth deployment of the project.
• Closely work with H&S managers, ensure site H&S level reach to the standard.
• Closely work with MEP engineers, architects, structural engineers, quantity surveyors and security specialists, ensure site installation quality/methods reach to the standard.
• Response for Site management, scoping requirements, statutory requirements, power and cooling deploy, containment, management and protection, delivering facility strategy, safety and manageability, Testing, commissioning and handover

Qualifications:

• Prince2, PMP or related Project management certification
• Local UK Data Center professional with more than 5 years of Facility management, site management, project management and/or delivery experience
• Throughout understanding of quality control and schedule control of a hyper-scale DC project deployment
• Experience in acquire DC facility related professional and resource in short period of time
• Knowledge of Data Center facility systems including Power, A/C, ELV and Security.

Desired Characteristics

• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and problem solving.
• Strong ability to abstract and interpret DC facilities language.
