Job Description

The Senior Manager - Commercial Content role is responsible for managing a team of three full-time writers and tasked with the creation of commercial content for all digital channels and the knowledge base including website, the Contact Centre, the App and any other relevant platforms.

As a team lead you should be able to demonstrate great people skills, understanding how to adjust your communication style to deliver key messages and to work effectively with stakeholders across the business.

Sitting within the Digital Content function in a fast-moving environment you will be able to manage a range of projects whilst ensuring content is in line with the company's tone of voice and brand guidelines. As a key member of the team you will be responsible for overseeing the creation content enabling this company to meet their goal of becoming the UK's best loved brand.

What else it involves

The position will report to the Head of Digital Content.

The key objectives of the role are to:

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and subject matter experts to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Manage the professional development and day-to-day activities of the team.
  • Give direct reports editorial direction and guidance.
  • Work with the Senior Manager, Support Content and team members across the function to tailor effective and consistent content, including creation and re-use.
  • Manage the performance of a team to ensure the effective delivery of business outcomes, both business-as-usual and project specific requirements.
  • Measure and report back on the value generated by content initiatives.

An understanding and appreciation of how content is focused on customer journeys.

Comprehensive and relevant digital content experience.

Strong problem-solving ability.

Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.

An ability to take responsibility for accuracy, quality and delivery of projects to required timelines.

Nice-to-have
