Job Description

A growing brand in Oxfordshire are looking to recruit a Business Analyst to understand business requirements and assess the impact of changes to the business. You will analyse and document requirements, and support the communication and delivery of requirements with relevant stakeholders. This is a great opportunity to join a fun and expanding organisation, and will also take on the following responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, process descriptions, business analysis and task and workflow analysis
  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, break down high level information into details and distinguish user requests from underlying true needs.
  • Document business requirements and understand business priorities to ensure user needs are reflected in development training
  • Design and produce business process maps
  • Ensure that business requirements are effectively translated into detailed functional and technical specifications, from which business systems can be implemented, or existing systems can be enhanced
  • Work with technical teams to ensure suitability of provided solutions
  • Engage with the business during user acceptance testing to ensure final product meets business requirements
  • Assist in preparing business cases for proposed systems, and identify benefits/costs
  • Contribute to project plans and provide IT support to the Project Manager when required

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of conducting business and systems analysis
  • Proven ability to produce concise and objective specifications of business needs
  • Ability to challenge the business to consider all options available and provide recommendations to ensure projects are progressing
  • Experince of process design and improvement
  • Excellent communication skills- written and verbal
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work to tight timescales
  • IT/Microsoft Office skills
