Job Description

A leading organisation in Oxfordshire are hiring an Application Support Team Lead to work with them on a permanent basis. This role will be situated within a Technology team, and will work on in-house applications. Working within a lovely office with great staff, key responsibilities include:

  • Taking a lead role in prioritising application based tickets and issues raised by users
  • Analysing common trends and frequently raised tickets
  • Inputting raised tickets into development workloads and product roadmaps
  • Managing a team who act as a point of escalation for raised issues/queries
  • Owning best practices, standards and tools used with application delivery
  • Coordinating of the day to day work of direct reports
  • Reviewing/correcting estimates of work
  • Participating in the evolution of software development best practices, standards and policies used within the team
  • 1st level testing to ensure new changes are working
  • Producing technical documentation for issues/bugs

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Management of technical issues across web/desktop/service based applications
  • Management of a multi-skilled technical team
  • Application support experience to technical and non-technical staff
  • Preparation of metric reports on performance/availability
  • Commercial experience and dedication to application based support
  • Experience of working on N-Tier systems
  • A clear focus on service excellence and customer service
  • knowledge of the .NET technology stack and SQL would be beneficial, but not essential
