Job Description

Agile Coach is urgently required by our Global IT Services Client for a rolling 3 month contract to be based in Bracknell (3-days onsite and 2-days working from home).

The successful candidate will be responsible for introducing and establishing the principles and practices of lean / agile across the organisation. Acting as a mentor to professionals across a number of disciplines and with varying skill levels, you will be an advocate for continuous learning and provide support, encouragement and guidance to those operating within an agile environment. Passionate, innovative and with excellent communication skills you will be a focal point for all things lean / agile both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Be a mentor to delivery teams, encouraging new learning opportunities and challenging them to ensure people are meeting their professional and personal goals.
  • Regularly and proactively align with other departments across the organisation, sharing innovation, learning and good practice in a way which makes it possible for other departments to easily understand and adopt agility.
  • Be an advocate on the use of data in guiding decision making, using appropriate data / metrics to guide the continuous improvement efforts
  • Facilitate inception, immersion and general macro-level workshops/events for programmes and delivery teams, acting as an impartial voice during workshops and events to ensure outcomes are reached effectively.
  • Act as a mediator and conflict resolution expert when issues arise between people and groups
  • Assist the agile delivery teams in recruiting team facilitators and scrum masters who will help advance the products, the organisation and their peers, improving the team and organization's culture.
  • Help co-ordinate the agile community across, providing a focal point for the adoption of modern, scientifically proven ways of organizing people and managing the flow of value for product technology streams.
  • Actively participate in agile community experiments, identifying potential innovative experiments that will help the company achieve its vision.

Skills & Experience

  • In-depth understanding of multiple lean / agile frameworks together with their underlying principles, and experience of applying them in multiple industries.
  • Excellent facilitation skills, with an ability to provide immersive facilitation techniques appropriate to the situation and audience.
  • A proven ability to help others learn, grow and become better professionals, enabling people to take on fresh challenges with confidence
  • Has the ability to exhibit the behaviours required of a modern technology professional and lead by example, bringing authenticity and passion into their daily work.
  • Understands business processes, market trends, complexity in running a globally distributed business; preferably has experience in large-scale legacy data center to cloud migrations.
