Job Description
An exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking and growing telecoms company in Reading, in brand new state of the art offices in a central location, as an Accounts Payable Clerk. This role will provide you with the chance to develop your AP kills within a skilled team, and will take on the following responsibilities:
- Registering supplier invoices accurately within the accounting system, following a three way match process
- Raising sales invoices in accordance with approved invoices requested by the business, and performing cash receipt from customers against open invoices
- Performing debt collection enquiries in a professional and timely manner and ensure that aged debt is recovered
- Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling supplier statements and related transactions
- Resolving supplier and customer queries
- Completing month end balance sheet reconciliations in AP and AR, resolving any issues found
- Producing monthly reports and assisting with month end closing
- Supporting internal and external audit activities by retrieving the required evidence
- Providing ad hoc support when to the Finance team when necessary
Key Skills/Requirements:
- Experience with Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable processes
- Strong communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of finance systems
- Great attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
- Microsoft Office knowledge
