Job Description

A leading Telecoms organisation in Berkshire are recruiting for an Accounting Manager to work with them on a permanent basis, within their Financial Accounting and Reporting function. This is an opportunity to work within a brilliant environment in modern offices. Reporting into the Senior Accounting Manager, you will take on the following core duties:

  • Monthly balance sheet control, including detailed review of all the balance sheet reconciliations at least once a year
  • Attend meetings with preparers and reviewers of reconciliations to understand the nature of the accounts and any underlying issues
  • Own the monthly cash flow and working capital reporting along with quarterly forecasting and support in annual budget and five year plan preparation
  • Working with various Finance teams to improve the balance sheet forecasting process
  • Prepare financial statements under FRS 101 and co-ordinating with external auditors to plan audit requests for half yearly, hard close, year-end, statutory and any other audits and or reviews

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified accountant
  • Strong technical accounting and advisory skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of IFRS and FRS 101
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Proactive in identifying and dealing with audit and accounting issues
  • Fantastic communication skills with the ability to work within a complex technical environment
