2nd Line Support Engineer/Desktop Technician - Contract - London

A global IT services company is searching for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to work with a client in London on a contract basis.

Role:

The 2nd Line Support Engineer will manage faults and support AV services, calls, service requests and planned changes, VIP Support and Smart-Hands support. (PC/Laptop builds, OS configuration, AD administration, some hardware repair.)

The client has recently migrated their estate to Windows 10, so some familiarity with supporting this OS will be required. This position will require an engineer capable of building key relationships with end users, including VIP/Executives/Senior Management and their support staff.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Strong 2nd line desktop/deskside BAU support experience.
  • Knowledge of supporting and manning a Technical Desk.
  • Experience of managing AV faults and supporting AV services (calls/service requests/planned changes).
  • VIP support.
  • PC laptops/builds.
  • OS Configuration.
  • Active Directory Administration.
  • Hardware repair.
  • Windows 10 experience.
  • Excellent client facing experience.
  • IT Services experience.
  • IT project work experience.

Some project work may be required and also some flexibility to attend local sites in London area if required.
